Motion Audio makes Central Pedal, Central Pedal Control, Central Control, Central Usage, Central Services, Central Production and the Central Tracks library. This page explains what we keep about you and why, who helps us run things, and how to get it deleted.
What we keep
- Your name, your email address, and a scrambled (hashed) copy of your password. We can't read the password itself.
- A mobile number for the main admin and other admins. When they sign in on a new device, we text a code to it. We don't use it for anything else.
- Your church or production's name, who's in it, and whether each person is the main admin, an admin or a user.
- The license keys your church bought and how far their updates go, plus the device each key is on. For a device, that's the name you gave it and a random id the app makes up. It's how we make a key work on one device, or two for users.
- Which discount codes your church has used, and whether it's had its free trial, so neither gets used twice.
- App preferences you change, so your devices stay in step.
- In Central Services, your church's teams, services and song lists, who was asked to serve and what they said, notes, and the dates people have said they're away.
- In Central Tracks, the tracks you publish with their title, artist, key and tempo, what you buy or add, and what publishers earn.
- Orders: what was bought, how much it was, and a shipping address if it was a built pedal.
- Anything you send to support, along with which app and version you were using.
- Error reports. When something goes wrong in an app or on this website, it sends us the error, the app's version, the kind of device, and the account's email if someone's signed in. We only use these to fix problems.
Tracks you load onto your own pedal or computer stay on your devices. They don't come to us unless you publish them to Central Tracks yourself.
Who helps us run it
Stripe takes payments, keeps the card on file, sends receipts and pays publishers. Card numbers and bank details go to Stripe, and we never see them. Render hosts this website and its database. Cloudflare R2 stores audio files and our nightly database backups. Resend sends our emails, such as invites, receipts, reminders and password resets. Twilio sends sign-in codes by text. GitHub serves the app downloads and updates.
They only use your information to provide that service to us.
Who sees what
People in your church can see the church's name, who's in it, the schedule and the song lists. The main admin and admins can also see the keys and which device each one is on. We don't sell or rent anyone's information, and we don't use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep your account while you have one. When you delete it, your name, email and phone number are removed right away, your keys are freed, and you're taken out of your church. We keep records of past orders and payouts, without your details, because tax and accounting rules require it. Nightly backups are kept for 30 days, then deleted. Error reports and support messages are kept for up to two years.
Deleting your account
On the website, go to Account → Your account → Delete my account. In an app, it's Settings → License → Delete my account. If you're the main admin, hand the role to someone else first, or close the church if you're the only one in it.
Your choices
You can see or change your name, email and phone in your account. If you'd like a copy of what we keep about you, or want something corrected, contact support. Reminder emails stop once you answer the invite or the service request. Receipts, sign-in codes and password emails always go out.
Security
Connections to us are encrypted over HTTPS and passwords are stored hashed. Admins sign in with a code sent to their phone, and a key only works on the devices it was activated on.
Children
The apps are for churches and productions, not for children under 13. We don't knowingly keep information about children under 13. If you think we have some, contact support and we'll delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll say so on this website and email account holders before it takes effect.
